Careers is fully integrated into the life of the college. Students are encouraged to consider the wide range of VET and TAFE courses available to them while they complete their senior studies. Cerdon College also has close connections with industry and tertiary providers through our programmes such as Volunteers in Action, the Careers Expo shared with St Paul’s College Greystanes and a comprehensive program of guest speakers that is very successful due to the support of the local Rotary Club and past students.
Cerdon College also has a very special relationship with all of the universities and private providers in Sydney. Throughout the months of May, June and July there are a range of presenters from these institutions that are able to explain to our students the considerable career options available to them.
Cerdon College also provides a proud tradition of post-school support offered to students after achieving their HSC. Every student is encouraged to come back to school after their results are released to discuss the many pathways available to them.
A weekly newsletter is posted online that keeps students up to date on such things as offers of scholarships, cadetships, open days, casual work vacancies etc.
